Job Description

    Are you passionate about making Microsoft more secure Do you enjoy partnering, collaborating, and driving work with different security & engineering teams to keep the company safe Are you looking for opportunities to engage, present and partner with senior leaders of the company to shape the direction of our security We are searching for a motivated security operations manager who is self-driven and is looking for a high level of responsibility and accountability.Digital Security & Resilience (DSR), an organization led by Microsoft s Chief Information Security Officer, enables Microsoft to deliver the most trusted devices and services. DSR s vision is to ensure all information and services are protected, secured, and available for appropriate use through innovation and a robust risk framework. The successful candidate will have sound management skills, excellent cross-group collaboration skills, coupled with the ability to plan and prioritize work and direct the defender teams to success. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic environment are a must. Candidate should represent the growth mindset and display Microsoft cultural values in day-to-day activities
    • Successfully leads and manages a team that is part of DSR SOC (Security Operations Center) & performs security investigations.
    • Fosters a healthy and inclusive team environment. Serves as a mentor, coach, and facilitator to develop an industry-leading cybersecurity team.
    • Has sound knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management etc.
    • Establishes operational foundations, defining metrics, KPIs and OKR s to drive governance, quality, and efficiency. Influence and improve existing processes through innovation and operational change.
    • Collaborates and consults with product teams on the overall advancement of Microsoft s first party security products by providing actionable feedback to improve the products.
    • Successfully delivers high business impact security monitoring related projects with high quality.

    • 10 Yrs of total experience
    • 2+ years of management/leadership experience
    • Exceptional operational rigor with extensive real-world experience SOC operations / SIEM / XDR.
    • Prior experience as a SOC/IR analyst or engineer
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to partner with stakeholder teams.
    • Systematic problem-solving mindset
    • Preferred - Knowledge of a cloud computing environment such as Microsoft Azure would be an advantage
