• The Order Management and Compliance team is responsible for Order Management and Investment Compliance systems. The order lifecycle includes portfolio construction, order generation, pre and post trade compliance rule checking and the execution and export of the orders.

What is the Senior Software Engineer group responsible for

• Senior Software Engineer assists application development and production support activities to support business needs. Refactors the code base of applications and reviews source code of peers. Resolves and identifies common production issues.
• This is an opportunity to use previous application development experience in a key role to enhance and support critical Trading related applications which mainly used by traders research analysts and portfolio managers.
• Should apply understanding of the business domain to triage support issues, Schedules and monitors production jobs, Supports Disaster Recovery activities.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer

• Analysis, design, coding, debugging, and testing of software enhancements and/or new software products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet environments
• Provides production support, including on-call support to meet SLAs
• Supports Disaster Recovery activities
• Documents production support issue resolutions, Disaster Recovery steps, and responses to audits
• Troubleshoots and resolves common production issues
• Analyzes application problems and defects
• Establishes a basic understanding of software system interdependencies
• Work in a complex, dynamic team environment with minimal supervision while possessing good organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Typically has 8-12 years related experience
• Solid programming experience in .NET, C#, Java, SQL Server, OneTIS and NoSQL data stores like Mongo DB
• Proficiency with frontend languages/JavaScript/XML/JSON frameworks; Angular, React
• Experience in cloud computing e.g. Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Zookeeper and Zuul
• Practical experience in using Windows/Web application development and Microservices
• Well versed with Git / BitBucket, JIRA, Fisheye, Bamboo, TortoiseSVN and Confluence
• Understanding of Microservice software architectures
• Application diagnostics and dashboard tooling such as Zipkin, Splunk
• ServiceNow and devops tooling such as Helm Charts, and Atlassian suite
• Public API management, versioning, and governance
• A good understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience on Windows and Unix platform
