Job descriptionPosition OverviewThe Legal Solutions team within Legal Services is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is an experienced .NET full stack developer.The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our Enterprise Application and Data Platform development capabilities as part of Legal Solutions team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned .NET full stack developer who enjoys assessing and understanding business requirements to build core engines, smart systems, and SaaS products.The candidate must have experience with and is comfortable developing SaaS apps using Azure, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, Web API, interfacing with database systems like MS SQL Server / Azure SQL. Additionally, the candidate will have basic to intermediate level of experience in Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure Container Registry, CI/CD development workflows, unit testing.Job Responsibilities
• Sprint (Iteration) Planning - Participate in sprint planning ceremony to ensure thorough and detailed planning for every Sprint.
• Ability to estimate development effort for assigned tasks.
• Interpret business rules and translate them into program logic.
• Working with Team Lead, US counter-part and Product Owner.
• Develop web applications in accordance with functional and technical specifications.
• Support high quality web applications using the Agile Software Development methodology which includes structured programming, documentation, design, code-reviews and creation of stored procedures.
• Debugs and correct application issues.
• Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems.
• Investigating and using new technologies where relevant.
• Providing written knowledge transfer material
• Team player attitude with a willingness to lead when necessary.
• Coordinating with development teams to determine application requirements.
• Writing scalable code.
• Testing and debugging applications.
• Developing back-end components.
• Integrating user-facing elements using server-side logic.
• Assessing and prioritizing client feature requests.
• Integrating data storage solutions.
• Reprogramming existing systems / code to improve functionality.
RequirementsMust have:
• Overall 7 - 9 years of development experience in .NET.
• 4 - 5 years of experience in Web Application Development using .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MS-SQL Server in combination with any 2 of the following out of which 1 being a JS language: -
  • Angular JS
  • React JS
  • .NET Core
  • WEB API 2.0 / WCF
  • MVC 4.x
  • LINQ with Entity Framework 6 or above
• 2+ years of experience in development for Azure Cloud.
• Proficient in OOPs concepts and design patterns to build a scalable and pluggable design.
• Good Exposure to Agile Scrum SW development process.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Experience in building real world solutions on Azure.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, design, and implementation.
• Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving & Debugging skills.
• Knowledge of IP networking, network analysis and performance and application issues using standard tools.
• Experience in unit testing, interacting with CI/DevOps systems.
• Define, Setup/Configure, Deploy and Maintain source code and binary repositories (e.g.: GIT, Artifactory)
• Develop scripts/make files for standardizing product SW builds & packages.
• Implementation level knowledge on container technologies.
• Define, Setup/Configure, Deploy and Maintain build/ packaging system - System administration for Build and CI servers and Tools.
• Expertise in Database - Ms SQL Server, Azure SQL.
• Good understanding of CI/CD Workflows & Client - Server Architecture.
• Expertise in Client Side and Server-Side Scripting languages like Html, Java Script, CSS.
