Job Description

Senior Accountant Reporting

  • Position Title: Senior Accountant Reporting
  • Function: Accounting & Reporting Team
Job Scope Includes:The Senior Accountant - Reporting is responsible for supporting leadership team on cost management and reporting. Responsible and accountable for reporting and analyzing the cost under defined business unit and take timely action for ensuring the financial sanity in the accounting records for defined responsibilities.Should liaise with Local Finance, Business Controllers, Business Analysts, and other support networks to coordinate for different deliverables.To lead and take part in simplification / standardization initiatives across accounting & reporting team for bringing up the value addition to the process.Main responsibilities:
  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support to meet cost objectives.
  • Liaise with different teams to coordinate for required information and to support them with financial analysis inputs on different scenarios.
  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, to support leadership team to understand and drive the cost management.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts to explain the key variance drivers.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; understand proposed changes and give a perspective to facilitate leadership for decision making.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
  • Proactive and professional communication on different interactions with the leadership team.
  • To drive simplification / standardization initiatives across accounting & reporting team for bringing up the value addition to the process.
Customers / Stakeholders
  • Ensure support is provided as per requirement from onshore counterparts related to cost analysis.
  • Attend all business calls and meetings and drive issue resolution as required.
  • Respond to queries from senior group level management as appropriate
  • Provides management and other key stake holders with relevant, comparable, and accurate data.
  • Analyzes data and translates into meaningful information with a professional and well- organized communication to the leadership team.
, *Qualifications:
  • 2-3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • MBA Finance / CA Inter / CMA Inter are preferred
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is must and hands on experience in any of the different reporting tools like Power BI, Tabluea etc.
  • User level experience in handling SAP or any other ERP system can be an added advantage.
