Job Description

    Responsible for editing, developing, creating and enhancing web video content. Should be able to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story. Should be able to assemble recorded and/or downloaded footage into a finished project that matches the content designers vision and is suitable for publishing. Experience in Video Production is a huge plus. Software Requirements - Avid Final Cut Pro X Adobe Premiere pro, After Effects, Audition Autodesk Combustion Maya Dynamics Lightworks Sound Forge Job Responsibilities - Take a brief to grasp Content or Production Teams needs and specifications. Review content script and raw material to create a shot division list based on scenes value and contribution to continuity. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video Input music, dialogues, voice-overs, graphics and effects. Create rough and final cuts Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running Consult with the content team and production team to ensure everyone is on the same page. Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience. Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industrys best practices to maximize efficiency. Job Requirements - Proven work experience as a video editor Solid experience with digital technologies and editing software packages mentioned above. Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio Thorough knowledge on timing, motivation and continuity. Familiarity with Special effects, 3D, Voice over, Composting. Creative mind and storytelling skills. A BS Degree in film studies, cinematography or related field is a huge plus.
