Job Description

    • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
    • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
    • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
    • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
    • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
    • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • At least 14+ years of hands on software development experience
    • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages Core Java, Spring frameworks, REST API, Micro services. Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
    • Experience with the following development and build tools (or similar): IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, BitBucket/Git/Gitflow, JMeter/Pasta/Blazemeter, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, MVC and Spring Cloud. Experience in API Gateways, Apache Kafka. Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
    • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems. Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
    • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
    • Passionate about building an innovative culture. Good analytical and technical problem-solving skills
    • Good written and oral communication capabilities. Ability to quickly learn new product or skill, enthusiastic about emerging technologies. Familiarity with modern front-end technologies. Exposure to cloud technologies
