Solution Architect (5G)

Job Description

• Define the offer architecture and solutioning for a 5G PCN/SCN managed services portfolio that leverage telco class transport products including multi-vendor integration with RAN and core technologies (specifically, Nokia, Ericsson and Cisco).
• Define and create best-in-class capabilities of the practice for solution design, implementation, validation, support and solution life-cycle management for development and activation of the 5G PCN/SCN managed services environment.
• Provide market sensed technical and commercially aware leadership to scope and design 5G offer portfolio including architecture, service collateral (data sheets, presentations, etc.) and other elements of offerings along with well-defined client project specific Project Concept (PCD) and statements of work (SoW).
• Assist in guiding and influence technology partner and ecosystem relationships.
• Lead the 5G PCN/SCN managed service offer development and activation model, task management and deliverables.
• Prepare project outcomes including presentations, solution descriptions, top-level designs, and other documentation.
• Facilitate alignment among internal product teams, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
• Provide insights to optimize our strategy, tactics, and roadmaps.
• Build content and lead sessions on architecture design, implementation planning, and IOC (Initial Operating Capability) deployment.
Qualifying Experience and Attributes
• The successful applicant for this role will have 8 years of experience working in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) field with responsibilities in systems engineering, service solutioning, product/service management, consulting, or systems integration delivery roles.
• Direct experience as a solutions architect or enterprise architect in a services organization is considered an asset.
• Deep technical knowledge and experience in 5G use cases of eMBB, uRLLC & mMTC across business vertical specific uses cases, inclusive with cloud computing and network function virtualization experience.
• Strong working experience with 5G applications including Core/RAN, Multi-access Edge Compute (MEC), ETSI MNANO NFV/NFVI, and cloud computing. Direct experience with private 4G LTE/5G NR networks, NFV, 5G NR 3GPP Control/User Plane microservices, their intersections and in cycle management.
• Deep technical knowledge and working experience in SDN and NFV underlay service orchestration (ETSI MANO, ONAP, SMOF, etc.) technologies and integration models.
• Monitor delivery progress and communicate status with CCMS Management.
Preferred Experience and Attributes:
• 7 or more years in telco class mobility service offer lifecycle management, 4G LTE/5G NR networking and customer UE use case development.
• Broad understanding of 5G PCN/SCN marketplace and associated technologies are a must.
• Candidate will possess ability to be a successful self-starter.
• Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and managerial skills.
• Experience with working diverse groups of technologically oriented people.
• Strategic thinking; focused on providing business value to end-users.
