Building this ecosystem offers the promise to harness data from across alliances in a secure, harmonized manner.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Strong knowledge in using AWS services as the application is setup on AWS services (EC2, AMI usage, EKS, ECS, Elasticsearch, IAM role & policy understanding etc.).- Delivery of clear, maintainable, and well-tested code in a timely manner Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.- Performing the code review to ensure the best practices are implemented to avoid re-invent-of-wheel- Collaboration with product team, and technology teams to document and leverage their understanding of the data - Actively participate in agile work practices EEO Statement Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.Minimum requirements What you ll bring to the role:- Bachelor s/Masters degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or any other technology related field with 8+ years IT experience on big data AWS based platform.Candidates should have solid understanding on below areas:HPC - Strong hand on knowledge in HPC on AWS or other HPC flavors and able to configure, setup, add enhancements, integration patterns etc. using Infrastructure as a code automation and automating HPC job scheduling through SLURM scheduler.SLURM- Good understanding of Slurm Accounting database, Reporting, adding & configuring partitions and Slurm Cgroup configurations with good knowledge on Job scheduling priority & job preemption.AWS- Strong understanding of AWS design and services mainly EC2,IAM role and policies, AWS HPC, AWS EKS,VPC & networking concepts Lustre, ADFS, Good understanding of AWS GPUs and its usageDEVOPS & LINUX- Very good understanding of Linux and bash scripting implementation for automation & configuration tasks. Hands on knowledge in Linux & strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, Shell, Linux functioning w.r.t automating tools from Infrastructure point.- Strong hands-on experience in Python for automation of HPC integration tasks and Terraform which is the IaaC code automation tool used for setting up HPC- Good exposure to bitbucket, Jenkins and building pipelines using Jenkins.Desirable requirements:- Exposure to deploying HPC clusters for life science, pharma domain would be an added advantage.- Good to have professional certification in AWS solution architect, analytics, HPC, Linux Why consider Novartis 769 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2020, and while we re proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people s lives.We believe new insights, perspectives and ground-breaking solutions can be found at the intersection of medical science and digital innovation.
