Job Description

The purpose of the Data Analytics Specialist is to apply data analytics & visualization techniques to make current business processes more intelligent and efficient to our partners within the EMEA Distribution while empowering them to be more data driven & fact based in their decision making. For this specific role, we are looking for someone passionate about visualizing data in creative and effective ways in order to surface insights.Invesco EMEA serves a breadth of clients including financial advisors, pension funds, and insurers. Our customers have complex and unique investment needs, which we are uniquely positioned to deliver through 13 investment centres with expertise in equities, fixed income, and alternatives. Marketing seeks to connect client needs with our capabilities by creating effective, accountable, multi-channel communications which educate, inspire and support our clients. The Analytics & Insights team enables this using research, digital & data analytics & marketing performance measurement to underpin the three pillars of know your clients, understand their journey & optimise performance. Our challenge for the Data Analytics Specialist will be to bring an infectious passion for data as an enabler & embed that in our teams to achieve commercial results through data informed practices. Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into efficient visualisations and reporting.
• Use data visualisation tools & techniques to enable & empower decision making at all levels, providing our business partners with the ability to optimise distribution activity.
• Champion the usage of Tableau by assisting our business partners in their own learning journey, providing one-on-one consultations and be an active participant in our internal Tableau Community.
• Work with our business partners in understanding their day-to-day issues and offer potential solutions using analytics tools & techniques to improve the process and enabling data to be available at crucial decision points.
• Automate ad-hoc analyses into stable, repeatable and performance-ready reports, metrics, and dashboards
• Advise the Head of Analytics & Visualisation on the latest data tools & techniques.
• Discover insights in data using various exploratory techniques and convert insights into action-oriented information for our business partners, applying your analytics knowledge to resolve business problems.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications required for role:

• At least 3 years developing complex and high-performance visuals using Tableau. Experience in other business intelligence platform is an advantage.
• Experience and ability to understand complex data and translate into clear and concise insights.
• Experience in developing simple solutions for complex business requirements using Alteryx and/or another programming language.
• Experience in delivering solutions from large scale, fragmented and complex data sets.
• Experience interacting and presenting to users throughout the development process.
• Experience developing documentation, visualisation standards, training and providing support.
• Vast understanding of Data visualisation principles & best practices to deliver simple, intuitive and easy reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues/scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts and communicate to audiences of all levels
• Familiarity with Tableau s JavaScript API would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of SalesForce data tables.
