We re looking for a Tech-Savvy Sr. Network engineer with minimum 5 yrs of experience (in handling the Network & Solutions for any of an IT Infrastructure service provider/ IT solutions Integration Company) who could develop, design and implement Networking Solutions ; conduct POCs (Proof of Concepts) & pitch innovative solutions to customers .Core Tasks:Provide ongoing support on all areas of Datacentre networking.Assist in design / development of network products and solutions.Assist in network based projects and developmentPreparing network diagrams / documentation based on the project needsDaily maintenance checks for all Customer core network elementsDealing with all types of network-related incidents to ensure that SLAs with customers are adhered to.Build and maintain working relationships with key interconnect partners & customersProvide support out of hours on callPreferably strong working knowledge in Vulnerability Assessment, Network Audits & Performance AssessmentShould have strong skills in Configuring & Managing Network Devices-Switches & RoutersShould have strong skills in Configuring & managing Security Appliances like Check Point / Cisco ASA Etc.Should be good at handling firewall technologies like NMS, VPN, and IDS IPSAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Should be an effective communicator verbal, written and presentation skillsShould have good communication skills & excellent customer interfacing skillsShould have good exposure on ITIL ProcessShould have good problem solving skillsShould be good at time management & should have the ability & desire to learn new skills.Competencies:Understands underlying issues and develops and evaluates solutionsExcellent general knowledge of TCP/ IPExcellent knowledge on switching technologiesSTP, VRRP, VTP, Stacking, LLDP, L2 Security & 2/ 3 Tier architectureJuniper experienceOperational experience of load-balancers technologies, particularly F5 BigIP and Cisco ACE.Cisco certified to CCNP or CCIP or Juniper Cert.Cisco experience to include:Access routers (1000/ 1600/ 2500/ 2600/ 3600 series) Core routers (7200/ 7500/ 7600/ 12000 series) LAN Switches (Catalyst 2900XL/ 3500XL/ 5X00/ 6X00 & RSP/ MLS/ MSFC routing modules) Routing Protocols:IS-ISBGP4 (including some routing policy knowledge) OSPF, EIGRPRIPSecurity & Redundancy FeaturesHSRP, firewalling/ access-lists, CBACEthernet/ Fast Ethernet/ Gigabit EthernetPOS (packet over SDH/ SONET) ATMFirewall Configuration and Support :Check PointLucent BrickCisco PIX / ASADesirable Requirements :Routing Registry knowledge RIPE, etc.General background in networking/ ISP knowledge of ISP-type services, DNS, DHCP, WINSSome Unix experience, especially with the Vi editorSome operational experience of IP VPN technologies such as IP Sec, MPLS and GRE,
