Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Supply Chain Manager to join our team. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials and products to meet our companys operational needs and customer demands.Key Responsibilities:1.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the companys supply chain strategy to optimize costs, streamline processes, and ensure on-time delivery of products. Collaborate with senior management to align supply chain goals with overall business objectives.2.Procurement: Identify and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance.3.Inventory. Management: Oversee inventory levels to balance the need for product availability with cost optimization. Implement inventory control procedures to minimize excess or obsolete inventory. Regularly analyse and report on inventory metrics to ensure efficient stock levels.4.Logistics and Distribution: Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to distribution centres and customers. Optimize transportation routes and modes to reduce shipping costs. Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.5.Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast product demand accurately. Use demand forecasting tools and data analysis to plan procurement and production.6.Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Implement best practices and industry standards in supply chain management.7.Budget Management: Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial goals.8.Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team, providing guidance and mentoring to team members. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Qualifications: Masters Degree in Operations & supply chain management, business. Proven experience in supply chain management, with at least [3-5] years of progressive responsibility in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, procurement, and inventory management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
