Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Engineering Manager to lead the fast-growing Quality Infrastructure organization in India. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for building a world class high performing engineering team that is responsible for building the infrastructure used by 1000s of web experiences service engineers to test their product in a massively scale crowd-sourced manner to improve the quality of all WebXT Products.We are building this brand-new service, with an ambition to scale to all products in WebXT (Bing, Maps, Edge, Windows Feeds etc.) providing necessary infrastructure to schedule & distribute many scenarios for validation. This system will leverage the power of crowdsourcing to auto generate a user perceived quality score representative of the health of the products, to enable teams to be in control of their feature quality and take pride in their product.The service is expected to run 100s of thousands of scenarios every day for both webpages and mobile and desktop apps starting with deployment of right version of operating system/hosting app with appropriate settings and connecting with relevant judges across multiple crowdsourced platforms. In addition, the service will include capabilities to capture the validation process for future debuggability, built in intelligence to target high fidelity judges, ability to dynamically update the pricing for these tasks and support real time routing across platforms to optimize for cost. Responsive dashboard, with real time data ingestion is another fundamental capability, to ease consumption of data by everyone in the organization.About WebXT:WebXT organization in Microsoft has the mission of Make the web work for you . Understanding crowdsourced platforms will be a plus. The role requires quick prototyping, narrowing down design options to deliver on the vision in collaboration with a strong team of software engineers and partners.,
• A bachelor s degree or higher in computer science or related discipline
• 12+ years of software engineering industry experience
• 4+ years of leading a product towards completion
• Experience with architecting and building reliable, distributed services
• Experience in machine learning and deep learning and applying these techniques in high-scale environments
• Demonstrated problem solving and prioritization skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
