The AML CLS team is seeking a hands on Architect preferably with financial services domain. The candidate for this role will be a member of the Corporate Compliance AML Client List Screening Technology organization. As a core systems Technology Architect you will be responsible to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of applications within / affecting the Client List Screening Technology portfolio. These applications may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. The role will have a heavy emphasis on design oversight, instructing, directing and reviewing the work of development team on delivering solutions end to end.As an Architect, your passion for technology and thirst for innovation will help shape the future of global commerce, now and for years to come. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive cultural change to bring a product/engineering mindset into the organization
• Provide engineering leadership to teams with architectural changes supporting both existing production needs and designing/building for future state architecture
• Formulate and evaluate solution proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations
• Work with Product, Architecture and other software engineering teams on feature delivery across various product roadmaps
• Drive agile maturity across the organization
• Effectively communicate and explain complex issues and design in simple terms
• Ensure systems design, business requirements, development and architecture of solution is well understood by involved parties and responsible for overall delivery of software products.
• Review and analyze all applications in portfolio for effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems. This will also support re-tooling and strategic development efforts.
• Willingness to work 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM IST to overlap with US teams working hours.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
• College degree or equivalent (B.E/B.Tech/M.C.A).
• 12+ years direct experience in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines with hands on software development and delivery experience
• Minimum 5 years as Technical Architect or Sr. Software Engineering Lead with proven record of driving adoption of solutions and platforms into production
• Experience in developing solutions with 3rd-party solutions, both internally and externally hosted applications
• Hands on development experience in Java, J2EE, ExtJS, React JS, D3 JS, JSON, Open Source frameworks, Tomcat, Spring & Hibernate, Multi-threading, Linux, Control-M, JMS, MQ, SOAP, Autosys, Shell Scripts, Windows Scripting, Unix Shell Scripting and working knowledge of Unix operating system
• Technically fluent in programming languages, including Java, Python, Perl, C, C++, .NET, etc.
• Expertise in Big Data Technologies and with public, private, hybrid cloud (Cloud Foundry, AWS. Azure)
• Must have Data Pipeline architecture and implementation experience for large scale Big data Projects
• 3+ year experience with ML technologies - Jupyter notebooks, python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Anaconda
• Experience in building new features in AI platform to facilitate model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring
• General knowledge of machine learning platforms: SageMaker, Kubeflow, Domino, DataRobot, DriverlessAI
• Proficient hands on working experience in Oracle, SQL, ETL Design & Development
• Technical background and skills with APIs, API Gateways (Apigee), containers (Kubernetes), automated deployment (AIM), and DevOps
• Must have hands on experience with ODS and various DWH modeling methodologies
• Must have experience in defining data strategy (Governance, MDM, Data Integration/Advanced Analytics/Data Quality/Metadata
• Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
• Must have experience in technical and architectural oversight for systems and projects that are required to be reliable, massively scalable, highly available, and maintainable.
• Work directly with project development teams to enable successful project implementation applying the recommended security tools, technologies and techniques. Provide expertise to project team engineers as needed.
• Ability to translate technical information into easily understandable information for non-technical audiences.
• Expert troubleshooting knowledge of database performance and other problems
• Experience with high availability (HA) designs and implementations
• Experience with securing and protecting data through data at rest and transmission encryption
• Able to lead customer design meetings with senior management and end users
• Past experience with Agile development a plus
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Bachelors degree in a technical or analytical field preferred
• Prior experience in the financial domain with AML Client Screening will allow the prospective candidate to hit the ground running.
• Experience with Bridger or Sanctions Name Screening Products
• Must have experience in participating in the management of multiple concurrent initiatives across multiple teams, dozens of resources, and/or $10MM yearly delivery budget while relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Candidate needs to be highly client focused, highly motivated, and hard working. Ability to effectively work with a wide range of business units and technology
