Job Description

Job Role- You will work towards leading the sales team of the assigned zone for commercial vehicle with the primary responsibility of achieving the sales targets in terms of revenues, volumes sell-in, sell-out, market share and receivables management. Key delivearbles:

  • Formulating strategies for overall accomplishment of top and bottom-line profitability for the zone and leading the sales team for ensuring the achievement of the assigned targets
  • Finalizing and deploying business plan for the zone with the team and dealers and ensuring regular review and monitoring for adherence
  • Complete understanding of the macro and micro environmental parameters affecting the business, tracking and monitoring the same and taking decisions for ensuring business success in the zone
  • Organizing market promotion activities in collaboration with the marketing team for customer interaction and penetration in the market
  • Developing new network, maintaining year-on year growth based on product range and conducting different drives to give a boost to the market
  • Achieving budgeted volumes and market shares in 3-wheeler passenger segment, and 3-wheeler cargo segment
  • Managing the complete enquiry management system in the zone with regular reviews and interventions
  • Performance management of dealers through goal setting, business and activity planning, regular reviews, interventions and evaluating channel performance, guiding on improvements and planning for expansion and taking corrective action based on performance
  • Identifying potential candidates for new channel partners role, working with dealer development team for network development and managing and controlling outstanding receivables from the channel as per the norms of the organization
  • Tracking competitor activities in the zone, planning and executing necessary counter actions through different activities, providing expert analysis of market conditions by gathering key data, analyzing trends, creating reports and offering comprehensive evaluations to meet clienteles objectives
  • Finalizing tactical schemes for the zone and running the governance calendar for the zone both internally and with the channel
  • Sales forecasting and vehicle indenting to plant as per timelines with accuracy
  • Ensuring extra focus on new product launches and ensuring success of these products across the zone
  • Identifying improvement areas and implementing measures to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Monitoring, training and motivating the manpower and ensuring quality deliverables in the market

  • Should possess excellent leadership skills to motivate sales teams and mentor them to reach their sales targets
  • Should have good understanding of business and knowledge of finance to achieve profitability of sales region
  • Should demonstrate concern about achieving or surpassing results against an internal benchmark of excellence and sees a difficult customer as a challenge to be won over
  • Should be able to offer/ think of several different arguments/responses to gain acceptance of the product or influence desired outcome, specifically use subtle strategies to influence customers purchasing decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with team members, senior management and clients and resolve conflicts wherever necessary
  • Strong negotiation and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to persuade and influence others
  • Demonstrates good analytical and presentation skills to be able to influence team members as well as dealers and customers
  • Must possess organizational skills for carrying out budgeting, forecasting, planning and training
  • Must demonstrate a positive image of self and own abilities, pushes forth and has willingness to trust ones own judgment
