About Intellecap: Founded in 2002, Intellecap Advisory Services Private Limited (Intellecap) is the entrepreneurial ecosystem building arm of the Aavishkaar Group, a pioneer in providing innovative business solutions that help build and scale impact enterprises dedicated to building a more equitable, sustainable and inclusive society. At the second level, we focus on building enabling ecosystems for innovations to scale by engaging with a range of actors such as value chain players, investors, philanthropies, corporations, governments, and intermediaries. We leverage our convening and amplification platform Sankalp to augment our effort to search, seed, support, and scale impact enterprises across sectors. We have worked with more than 300 clients on over 500 consulting and research engagements across multiple geographies. We are a group of 7000 + professionals in offices across India, Kenya, and Indonesia. Intellecaps Climate Change and Energy team is focused on: - Building ecosystems and supporting entrepreneurs for energy access and climate action.- Work with off-grid and decentralized renewable energy stakeholders to increase their capacity, efficiency, and potential to scale in the developing economy markets.- Our focus areas are Sustainable cities and communities, Climate change mitigation and adaptation, access to energy and energy efficiency for MSMSs, Access to energy to rural households, and Sustainable and resilient smart villages. Key Roles and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate should be able to :- Manage projects with independent thinking and guide 2-3 member teams comprising associates independently- Understand client requirements, develop scope, approach & methodology, delivery schedule with the ability to clearly define costing- Lead project execution, team discussions and guide team to drive successful execution in line with identified approach data from primary and secondary sources, guide research and analysis as required- Undertake detailed financial and technical analysis where required including complete business planning and financial modeling- Deliver client presentations and manage client expectations- Engage with senior experts internally and externally on aspects related to the project- Support business development through proposal development and new clients reach out- Straddle multiple roles that include project delivery, client relationship management, team building and mentorship, and business development;- Be part of the team that contributes towards developing the domestic and global strategy for the consulting practice at Intellecap.- Undertake relevant national and international field travel and exposure as and when required.- Be part of the team that contributes towards developing the domestic and global strategy for the consulting practice at Intellecap. Qualifications and Experience Requirements: - A Masters degree in Engineering, Energy and/or Climate Studies, Renewable Energy, Development Studies, Environmental, and Natural Resource Management or related fields.- Masters (MBA) or equivalent from reputed institutes in India/abroad- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in research, Business development, and programme management in renewable energy, climate change, and/or related sectors,- Experience in business consulting, Climate change adaptation, mitigation, climate tech solutions, climate change policy, climate finance, and decentralized power generation, and carbon market, climate finance (both in terms of fund raising efforts and fund management), understanding of voluntary carbon markets and carbon trading mechanisms, work on nature based solutions (land sinks, ocean sinks etc.), climate-smart agriculture, ESG and climate data analytics, net-zero pathways, and work on climate policies (like NDCs , state action plans etc.).- Experience in working on long-term Technical Assistance Projects in Climate Change, Energy, carbon, and related sectors. Essential Skills : - Good MS Office skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint) and self-reliant in developing and formatting documents.- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.- Excellent communication skills: able to clearly communicate complex information.- Open to working in a multicultural environment and effectively in small and large teams.- Fluency in English: able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing.- Strong conceptual as well as analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative Fluency in English and ability to deliver the message effectively verbally and in writing- Flair with a foreign language French/Spanish will be usefulIntellecap is an equal opportunity employer.
