Job Description

    Product Design Head For Garment/Apparel Industry.(Designing a fresh and unique retail range Women wear - Western Wear, Casual, Formal & Semi-casual)Did a very special and unique collection for the collaboration with Women Wear Brands Introduced new categories to upkeep the brand with the latest competitors.Should have been a Designer with a well-known international brand for at least 10- 12 years Roles and Responsibilities
    • Trend presentation as per calendar which includes (colour, fabrics, silhouettes, prints & graphics, etc for the season)
    • Research on latest trends through websites and videos.
    • Use inputs from retail team on good performers in the previous season to capitalize on designs that performed well
    • Create design range dolly boards as per design research and buying calendar for womenswear
    • Plan range presentation
    • Line sheet approval for MFI (make in India) capsule, post buying week
    • Ensure seamless transition from season to season
    • Approval of pre-production sample design translations in terms of lab dips, colour cuttings, print strike offs, styling, fit, trims
    • Produce creative product design
    • Achieving option level sell thru of the subcategory
    • Trend presentations and market visits
    • On time delivery of range and tech packs as per calendar
    • Timely approval of samples
    • Adaptation of international trends and Splash Dubai range
    • Coordination with Manager on finalization of colour pallets, execution of range , and arranging samples for marketing activities
    • Analysing trends in fabric, colours and shades
    • Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, function, serviceability , budget and market characteristics
    • Analyse and evaluate changes in design trends to modify and refine designs to conform with customer specifications
    • Setting up Brand Direction & Strategy for the team to kick start the season.
    • Formulating focused Conceptual Stories based on research, analysis & signature.
    • Lead a team of 9 senior designers across functions, groomed to be future industry leaders in their respective specializations.
    • Accountable for Premium Portfolio of approx. 1900 options X 24L units per season.
    • Interface with Sales Dept. in identifying & strengthen key categories to achieve sales targets.
    • Interfacing between Marketing dept. - For Seasonal Campaign Concepts, Final Looks, Ensembles, Models along with Brand Promotions and Press releases.
    • Liaising with Vendor Base & Mills for procuring strategic seasonal developments.
