The team is functionally part of Global DA&CRM team and locally part of HSBC Wealth and Personal Banking business (WPB) accountable for building and commercializing data asset and advanced analytics capabilities to enhance customer experience reimagined, deliver business growth, enable data led innovation, and drive informed decision. As part of Global function and local business, we have the best of both worlds leveraging our global capabilities while delivering local agenda. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the WPB Data Analyticsteam who will scale up transformation of Data Science and Analytics domain.Job IntroductionThis is a key leadership position to support the successful development and industrial implementation of Data Science and Analytics for HSBC WPB India. The role holder is expected to scale up advanced capabilities, talents, and deliveries of analytics including AI/ Generative AI/ ML commercialization enabling deep customer intelligence, analytics lead generation, hyper personalization and dynamic timely and relevant customer engagement across channels and their ecosystem. The role holder is also responsible for building up and skilling up talents for advanced analytical skills and for securing investment in analytical capabilities justified by data driven business casesPrincipal ResponsibilitiesImpact on the Business.Proactively propose data-led solutions & innovation to solve business and customer problems across key strategic focuses.Responsible for the use case proposal and working with relevant stakeholders in securing funding, developing & implementing appropriate analytics solutions.Ensure the quick deployment of relevant and impactful global solutions to help deliver India WPB growth ambitions.Strive for constant innovation and lead cutting edge capability & use case implementation.Provide thought leadership in responsible AI.Sharp focus on commercial outcomeCustomers / Stakeholders.Work directly with WPB EXCOs and senior stakeholders to align, prioritize initiatives.Collaborate and influence effectively with global D&A partners, local and global business partnersLeadership & Teamwork.Lead the entire analytics practice, set strategic direction, align with business KPIs and priorities, prioritize, manage and deliver outcome.Accountable for analytical insights and analytics use in customer contact strategy/ optimization.Ensure appropriate support is in place to execute.Shift from project delivery to holistic leader of entire analytics practice (chapter lead).Manage direct and indirect analytical resources.Provide the personal leadership required both within the CoE and locally across business area to build engagement from individuals and the overall organization.Connect with external thought leaders and identify collaboration opportunities with clear commercialization synergiesOperational Effectiveness & Control.Able to deploy agile working approach to turn around robust solutions at pace.Ensure timely, effective and accurate execution of analytics triggers/ leads and analytics fabric of customer contact run-way..Establishing transparent and appropriate level of approval process throughout all customer Growth, Operational and Remediation.Ability to industrialize the analytical solutions at scale with the right automated process design and technological support from relevant stakeholdersMajor Challenges.Ability to recruit, develop, grow and retain the right talents with clear talent strategy/ positioning.Shifting from being a service provider to becoming a strategic leader/ thought business partner.Transforming the focus from traditional analytics to advanced analytics with scaled up commercial impact.Ensuring the right investments endorsed on key data and analytics tools to unlock D&A impact.Evolving regulatory landscape in use of data including responsible AI, data privacy, etc.Role Context.Some level of strategic steer and ownership for analytics practices.Holistic accountability of overall analytics deliveries.Larger team management responsibility (team size is more than tripled)Management of Risk.Adheres to processes and controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensures timely escalation of control issues and reputation risks..Demonstrates leadership on regulatory and compliance matters.
