Job Description

ROLE PROFILE Job Title: IT Quality Assurance Automation Engineer Role Summary The person in this position will help design and implement automation test framework to validate applications like SAP, Oracle Agile PLM, Siebel, Oracle EPM, Service Now and Salesforce. They will apply their experience and knowledge in reviewing requirements, creating test plans and detailed test cases for automated testing. They will produce test reports, and quality assurance metrics for automation testing and coverage. Other responsibilities include working closely with software and systems engineers in debugging and defining corrective actions because of automation test outcome. Utilize open-source tools or develop custom scripts for automating functional, integration, regression, performance, cross browser, mobile and API testing. They will work closely with manual testers in discovering and identifying automation opportunities for the projects and to train manual testing team to execute automation test cases. They must follow all the standards required to perform automation testing in a regulated environment. Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Align with industry standards to manage and support the maturation of the following capabilities: Automation test planning, implementation & execution which include API, Load, Performance, Cross Browser and Mobile testing Ensures sufficient automation test coverage to deliver projects on time with utmost quality Hands-on in developing automation test framework and build automation test suite to support new development and regression testing Promotes methodologies such as TDD and BDD to create repeatable re-usable processes Manage and improve development of automated testing to increase reliability, predictability, and manageability of deployed solutions Develops a plan to support all non-functional testing requirements including load and performance, security vulnerability testing etc. Employ risk-based methodology, where feasible and achievable Provide support in other quality system related activities including quality exceptions, audits, regulatory inspections, and change control Interact with diverse teams based in the US and collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams internal and external Check in all Automation test scripts into Azure DevOps and integrate them to run as a part of deployment process. Maintaining Automation Test Scripts and making sure there is good test coverage Schedule Automation test case to run on a recurring basis Ensure that all defects are automatically entered into the defect tracking system (Azure DevOps) Education and Experience Bachelor of Science/Arts degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required Minimum of six years of / Quality assurance Automation Testing experience Demonstrated experience in design, develop and implement automated test framework and practices Knowledge of the IT system development life cycle and software quality assurance in a regulated environment Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance automation engineering best practices Demonstrated understanding of code coverage and Test-Driven Development principles Experience working in regulated environment (SOX, GDPR, CCPA, FDA) is preferred Skills and Competencies Self-motivated with exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to perform high degree of initiative with a passion for learning technology Ability to work collaboratively with IT Team Strong verbal and written communications skills Experience working in Agile development environment Effective organization and prioritization skills Selecting or Identifying Areas/Test cases for Automation Designing & Implementing Test Automation Strategy Creating Automation Test Plan and getting approvals In-depth knowledge of implementing the following capabilities: Automaton Testing, Load/Performance Testing, Cross Browser Testing, Mobile Testing and API Testing Solid understanding of GxP guidance, including 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11 and data integrity experience with system validation across GxP landscape, specifically GMP applications Proficiency in testing tools: Selenium, Ready API or Postman, Appium, Browser Stack, Azure DevOps Proficiency in programming languages Java, Python, cypress and C# CI/CD Experience Azure DevOps (work item tracking, source code, versions, branching) Familiarity working with SQL and Oracle databases Choose selenium tools and Configuring Selenium Test Environment (Ex: Eclipse IDE, Java, Selenium WebDriver and TestNG) Creating, Enhancing, debugging, and executing automation Test Cases Finding solutions for Object Identification issues and error handling issues
