• Be charge of the validation and testing process inside a Scrum Team. You will ensure that our products have been designed and tested to meet requirements and are fully validated before launch.
• Development Engineer in QA Test will define test strategy, develop test plans, test scripts and procedures to verify functionality of our Enterprise Software Application as part of the Eneergy Transition & Digitalization Division.
• We are looking for motivated professionals with strong skills in Automation testing who will play a key role in verifying and validating the next-generation technology solutions that change how users connect, explore, and interact with information and devices. QA Engineer will primarily work with development teams in Pune and Europe.
• Success in this position requires the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, strong motivation for pursuing project objectives and the ability to learn new techniques and development processes. • Be part of a Scrum team and proactively communicate with other members as a quality referent (best testing practices, test process, etc.)
• Validate User Stories by participating in acceptance criteria definition and test them
• Constitute a test repository of system tests for end-to-end and regression testing.
• Identify and prioritize manual tests that are good candidates for automation testing.
• Execute manual/automated tests and provide report to the key stakeholders
• Define and execute test campaigns to ensure an efficient coverage of a release based on risk analysis
• Raise and follow defects in our ticketing tool in case of any misbehavior of the application
• Support team members, reporting on what have been validated and demo of new functionalities
• Defines test strategy, develops detailed test plans, specifications, test cases, test scripts and test data sets that validate functional, performance requirements and update existing test procedures based on requirement changes and test analysis.
• Develops, execute, and maintain extensible automated tests; skillsets in Java, C# or Python, selenium required.
• Designs and implements robust, scalable, high quality Test Automation Suites within a Continuous Integration and Deployment environment to improve quality and productivity of functional, regression, and system tests.
• Participates in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents; interacts with Management, leads, and other team members in a one-to-one or one-to-many meeting format.
• Analyze test results, and identify, document, and report root causes for test failures by working with the development team and the defect tracking system.
• Drive continuous improvement through development and implementation of best practices and processes
• Communicates technical concepts and information to internal staff/peers and stakeholders; strong verbal, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Identifies opportunities for process, tools, and test methodology improvements, and drives those from concept to implementation.
• Validates official customer product releases and takes responsibility for the end-result.
• Primarily work with development teams Pune and Europe and test/automate the features developed.
QualificationsRequirement:
• Bachelors degree or Masters degree.
• 7 -9 years of experience in Software quality assurance
• 5+ years of experience with Java, C# programming, Python or other scripting languages.
• 2+ years of experience in automation framework development or maintenance preferably Page Object Model in Selenium, API Testing.
• Strong knowledge in test techniques and process
• Excellent knowledge of testing management tools like Xray
• Knowledge of automation test tools like Cypress, Selenium or Postman , DevOps tools and CI/CD process
• Knowledge in cross-environments, cloud-based automation system development lifecycle
• Proven experience with test plan development, automated testing, and continuous integration
• Must have proven track record of validating high quality products.
• Experience working in an Agile SCRUM development lifecycle.
• Proficient in Data Driven testing approaches.
• Understanding of relational database design and testing against SQL Server.
• Worked on defining and implementing System Automation Test Framework for any projects.
• Proficient understanding of Source Control software and Code Collaboration tools (Git, SVN, etc.); experience with Issue and Project Tracking software (JIRA, TFS, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills
• Above-average planning, organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Efficient in ability to adhere to deadlines
