Job Description

    * Job Summary: onsemi is seeking a highly motivated, accomplished, and experienced IC designer to join the Advanced Product Development group within onsemi s Mobile, Computing, and Cloud division. The Advanced Product Development team is a central organization within the division that works with the division s various product lines to execute on particularly challenging products and IP developments. As a Principal Engineer, located in either Richardson, TX or South Portland, ME, you will have the opportunity to work on leading power management products and IP that target server, notebook and desktop computer, and smartphone application areas. Performance Objectives: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
    • Join a design team that is focused on developing new power management products and IP for server, notebook and desktop computer, and smartphone application areas. The initial application area that the successful candidate will work in is server power solutions.
    • Learn about the power tree architectures for the various application areas listed above and the key requirements for the components in these power networks
    , * Requirements:
    • MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
    • 6+ years of integrated circuit design experience
    • Strong analog/mixed-signal circuit design skills
    • Strong verification methodology covering verification planning and execution
    • Ability to develop behavioral models
    Preferred:
    • Previous experience designing power management products
    • System knowledge of server and notebook power architectures
    • Ability to program in Python
