Job Description

    Description and Requirements This role is part of the Cloud Infrastructure team, that provides in depth cross-platform server support, systems engineering functions in geographically diverse Datacentres.Our Duties and responsibilities include design, configuration, testing and implementation of server systems hardware, operating systems & maintenance. Team works on wide range of systems and services to ensure its available and performing normally for critical business operations.Primary Roles and Responsibilities:Must have automation experience on developing code s, design of automation framework.Must ensure technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructureResearch and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.Administer, maintain, and support Linux (RHEL/CentOS) operating systems and exposure to any 2 of the UNIX flavours (HP-UX, Solaris & AIX).Resolve major incidents and technical escalations within agreed SLAs and quality.Good Understanding of Problem Management & Change ManagementInstall hardware and software, maintain appropriate service levels, performance tuning and firmware upgrades across multiple hardware platforms.Perform tasks such as, capacity planning, performance monitoring, provide recommendations for improvement in the infrastructureThe candidate must be able to translate requirements into a technical design.Plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.Mentors team members and educates users.OS Configuration Compliance and Patching of Linux, Rancher, Kubernetes.Maintain and support all Unix Hardware Platforms.Capacity ManagementQualifications:Strong Knowledge & Experience in RHEL Linux, AIX, SolarisMinimum 8 years experience in Supporting Linux and Unix operating systems.Minimum 4-year experience in Rancher, Kubernetes, and docket container solutionMust know Python, Shell scriptingMust have basic Knowledge of VMware vSphere, AWS, GCP.Current with technological developments in systems administration technologyAbility to perform multi-tasking and provide leadership in the design, deployment, and support of infrastructure systemsWork with Change & Incident Management Tools.Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.Ability to work in cross functional teams and influence the outcome.GraduationITIL, Red hat, VCP certificationCertified Kubernetes Administer, AWS Certification is an added advantage.From core to cloud to edge, BMC delivers the software and services that enable over 10,000 global customers, including 84% of the Forbes Global 100, to thrive in their ongoing evolution to an Autonomous Digital Enterprise.It is the policy of BMC Software to afford equal opportunity for employment to all individuals regardless of race, color, creed, sex, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, ancestry, citizenship status, political affiliation, religion, gender, transgender, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, status as a parent, disabled veteran or status as a protected veteran, genetic information or other factors prohibited by law, and to prohibit harassment or retaliation based on any of these factors.
