Senior International AccountantPoshmark is seeking a Senior Accountant (International) whose primary function relates to international operations. This position will be reporting to the Senior Manager, International Accounting based in the US.Key Responsibilities:
• Perform monthly GL accounting close tasks including but not limited to preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for the assigned international entities.
• Ensure the timely deliverable and accuracy of the journal entries and reconciliations
• Partner with business owners and /or FP&A team in preparation of the journal entries as needed
• Research and resolve discrepancies between the GL and supporting documentation for assigned areas
• Assist with SOX implementation and ensure compliance with SOX 404 controls
• Support 10Q and 10K filing for related footnotes and disclosures
• Support internal and external audits and ad hoc projects as needed
Statutory Audit: Assist international statutory audit and compliance to ensure all filings are complete, accurate and filed timelyOther: Drive business process improvements and initiatives; brings best practice to accounting function such as streamline Accounts Payable and Expense Reports processes, creating and updating desktop procedure. Additional responsibilities may include, preparation of key management reporting packages, flux analysis, other month-end duties, and ad-hoc projects.6-Month Accomplishments:
• Obtain understanding and knowledge of business operations and accounting policies
• Demonstrate proficiency with company s systems and accounting operations
• Prepare and reconcile assigned accounts, including owning these areas and related process improvements
• Demonstrate proficiency in assisting with streamlining accounting processes
• Demonstrate strong time management, written, analytical, and verbal communication skills
• Support preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reporting package
• Support annual financial and tax audits
• Support SOX compliance and audits
12+ Month Accomplishments:
• Develop mastery of the 6-month accomplishments
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of the transaction cycles and accounting treatments for assigned areas
• Demonstrate excellent reconciliation skills
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
• Prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, work effectively with others, and follow through to execute all tasks
Minimum Qualifications Required:
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in private accounting; international accounting and multi-currency experiences are required
• Strong experience and knowledge in U.S. GAAP and international accounting and consolidation (ASC-830).
• Strong experience with Intacct or equivalent ERP system such as NetSuite (preferred)
• Bachelor s degree in accounting is required
• Experience must include month-end closes
• Public company and SOX 404 experience are desired
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence outcomes
• Confidence, good judgment, energy and personality to work in a dynamic environment across all levels of management, functions and geographies.
• Experience managing global, large-scale processes and comfortable working in a start-up, fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking skills.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, sumif, etc.)
