Job Description

The Poshmark data analytics team is looking for a Sr. Data Analyst for improving the shopping experience. You will have the unique opportunity to leverage a large volume of data to drive insights and influence business decisions, partner with business stakeholders, product and engineering teams, proactively identify gaps and solutions to shape the future of the shopping experience on Poshmark.Responsibilities
• Develop a deep understanding of Core business metrics by partnering with key business stakeholders to identify, measure and monitor trends
• Communicate actionable insights to stakeholders and partners in a simple, clear, and compelling manner. Understand and meet their analytics needs on a continual basis
• Contribute to the improvement of north star metrics for shopping experience team
• Monitor existing metrics, analyze data, and collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for improvement
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights
6-Month Accomplishments
• Understand Poshmark marketplace end to end, gain expertise of internal data systems, get familiar with reporting systems to monitor performance of business
• Contribute to projects by working on analyses and investigations
• Build in the right processes and time to thoroughly QA data and insights
12+ Month Accomplishments
• Able to take on projects more independently and deliver the ultimate results
• Deep dive into more granular data and understand user shopping behaviors and consumer trends
• Demonstrate ability to lead conversations with key business stakeholders and cross functional partners
Requirements
• 3-5 years of data analytics experience in the areas of Product/Customer Analytics or Data Analytics. Experience with big data in ecommerce or social platform is a plus
• Bachelor s or Master s degree preferably in a technical discipline. Education in business or analytics discipline is a plus
• Expert knowledge of SQL is must. Exposure and familiarity with Python, R, Spark SQL is a plus
• Hands-on experience with BI tools like Tableau, Looker or similar tool strongly preferred
• Detail oriented and expert in quantitative analysis. Have strong analytical rigor and drive to actionable insights
• Strong business acumen with aptitude to apply it critically towards solving problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with statistical techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, time series forecasting etc. is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of basic statistical concepts with emphasis on statistical hypothesis testing (t-tests, z-tests, etc.) and inferential statistics is nice to have
