Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for an Inventory Specialist to join the Systems team in HRT s Westchester, NY office! The Systems team builds and maintains the computers, networks, data storage, operating systems, and software that allow our trading strategies and research environment to run worldwide 24/7. We are looking for an experienced data center inventory specialist who enjoys being challenged, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is an impactful role where you ll be tasked with organizing, building, and maintaining HRT s diverse data center inventory infrastructure, which is critical to our success and ability to conduct large-scale research and trading across the world.As the first member of this team, you ll have the unique opportunity to help set the direction for data center inventory management at HRT and significantly impact our existing and growing infrastructure. We re looking for someone who is excited about taking ownership of improving and designing the future of data center inventory at HRT.To ensure that the inventory is functioning properly, you ll conduct regular counts and maintain an accurate live inventory sheet. Communication and strong interpersonal skills are key, as you will be the hub of information for data center engineers, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipping and receiving of products.The ideal person for this role will be accustomed to working (and thriving) in an extremely fast-paced and high-tech environment, so they should possess these characteristics:

Responsibilities
• Track and manage both incoming and outgoing equipment shipments
• Ensure that the data center stock of inventory is organized, easy to locate, and up to date
• Run routine inventory counts
• Monitor inventory levels to determine what needs to be replenished
• Work with vendors to obtain quotes to replenish low stock and review with Data Center Engineering team to determine from whom to order
• Coordinate with the Data Center Engineering team and systems coordinators to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full
• Help ensure decommissioned hardware is ready for disposal and recycling and coordinate the recycling effort
Profile
• Strong Excel / GSheet knowledge
• Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders
• Experienced in using a pallet jack and palletizing boxes
• Experienced in packaging electronic equipment
• Familiarity with arranging pickups of outgoing deliveries
• Experience executing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Maintain a clean and neat work area
• Articulate communicator with outstanding writing skills
• Ambitious, with a strong desire to make an impact
• Proficient with task tracking software, Jira knowledge preferred
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure and components is a plus
• Programming skills are a plus
