Working as a member of this team, the candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting applications/services. This is a hands-on role and is responsible for analyzing user specifications and requirements and providing assistance in coding, testing and debugging applications., *The Right Candidate
• Full Stack Java developer/lead with experience in Java, JSP, DB2, Spring framework and web services.
• Has in-depth understanding of the full software development life cycle.
• Deep familiarity with modern software development and design concepts encompassing a range of languages and platforms
• Take ownership of small/medium applications, or application components and ensure delivery of the same through his/her team.
• Understands business needs and priorities, and provides thought leadership on potential solutions and the opportunities for technology to create positive impact on the business.
• Has excellent analytical and problem solving skills that are coupled with strong communication, anticipates issues and deals with them proactively.
• Demonstrates a passion for technology innovation balanced with a pragmatic approach to developing and deploying solutions that best benefit the business.
• Nimble, adaptable, able to express ideas in meetings & design discussions, comfortable with ambiguity; course correct when circumstances change.
Skill Set:Primary skills
• 5 - 8 years of professional experience in Java working on midsize to large software development projects.
• Strong understanding of the Spring Framework required
• Familiarity with Git, Linux/Unix commands, basic algorithms, data structures
• Familiarity with Databases and basic queries
• Good analytical skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to understand customer business needs
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Good communication skills, self-starter, strong interpersonal and follow through skills.
• Knowledgeable in Agile and hybrid/waterfall software development practices.
• Web services development exposure and REST API paradigm
